“Liberated relationships are one of the ways we actually create abundant justice, the understanding that there is enough attention, care, resource, and connection for all of us to access belonging, to be in our dignity, and to be safe in community.”
— Adrienne Maree Brown
Interfaith is a truth of the world, a way of life, and a goal of peace-builders. Interfaith workers acknowledge the deep roots that religion has in and the world and seeks to create peace and harmony through these communities. In a city as religiously diverse as Cape Town, and in the larger South African and African contexts, working with religious communities to better the lives of marginalized folks is essential. We, as the Cape Town Interfaith Initiative, strive to promote healing, joy, and social progress.
